For 38 years, Port Richey has been my home—where my family found a better life in 1987. My late husband, Artie, and I built our lives here, raising our two children, Adam and Ashley, while working hard to serve others.
Artie’s career took him from a dialysis technician to project management, building life-saving dialysis units across the Southeast. As a nurse, I dedicated myself to caring for patients at Riverside/Northbay, Helen Ellis, and Community Hospitals.
Now, my focus is on you—our residents, our families, and our future. With your support, I will continue to fight for a stronger, more connected Port Richey.

At just 17 years old, I earned my Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in New York, driven by a deep passion for caring for others. By 1987, while working full-time and raising my son Adam—and expecting my daughter Ashley—I earned my RN. We made Port Richey our home six weeks later—and it has been ever since.
Never one to stop learning, I pursued my bachelor’s in healthcare administration from Saint Leo University, balancing full-time work, raising my children, and handling all the responsibilities of being a mother.
I held leadership roles throughout my 50-year nursing career and managed budgets, staffing, hiring, training, payroll, and conflict resolution. But I never lost sight of what mattered most—patient care.Even as a manager, I stepped onto the floor to ensure every patient received the best possible treatment.
After 20 years in management, I returned to my first love—bedside nursing, caring for patients, and supporting families.
That same dedication, compassion, and leadership is what I bring to Port Richey. I know what it means to work hard, serve others, and face challenges head-on. I’m asking for your vote to continue serving our community—because leadership is about putting people first.

After my husband Artie’s passing, I found a new purpose—getting involved in our local government. I started attending Port Richey Council Meetings, and I’ll admit—at first, the discussions, abbreviations, and government processes were overwhelming. But I was determined to learn.
As I gained knowledge, I also found a passion for community engagement, which led me to the Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC). I was inspired by the team’s dedication and their vision for our city. In 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I proudly stepped up as CAC Chairperson.
One of our greatest accomplishments was renaming the Waterfront Overlay District (WOD) to Cotee River Landing—a name chosen by the residents, for the residents. We conducted a Facebook survey, gathered community input, and worked tirelessly to establish an identity that would attract businesses and revitalize the area.
I believe in listening, learning, and leading with action. That’s what I’ve done—and that’s what I’ll continue to do for Port Richey.
With your support, I will keep working to make our city stronger, more vibrant, and a place we are all proud to call home!
